Sterling has joined Liverpool for training after missing two days of training by calling in sick.
The England international has made his desire to leave Liverpool public and has stated he won’t join Liverpool for the pre-season tour. The winger called in sick on Wednesday and Thursday, missing training.
Sterling told Brendan Rodgers of his desire to leave Liverpool at the end of last season, with Manchester City since having two bid rejected and are preparing a third.
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard told Sterling to “be a man about it” after the 20-year-old refused to take part in the club’s upcoming pre-season tour of Australia and Asia.
