Serena Williams Through To Wimbledon Finals

share on:

Serena Williams is one victory away from a perfect Grand Slam season (a season in which a tennis player wins all major four Grand Slams) after the 33 year old beat Russia’s Maria Sharapova 6-2 6-4

Serena wo came into the match as the favorite dominated the first set and didn’t look a day over 25 with her powerful serves being a little too much for Sharapova to handle. Serena easily broke Sharapova’s serve in the first set and did not slow the game down in the second set winning the match with ease.

Serena Williams would now play Spain’s Garbine Muguruza (who beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2 3-6 6-3 in the first semifinal) in the final as she (Serena Wiliams) looks to cement her place in women’s Tennis history and reenact her perfect season fit of 2002/2003
