Fluminense release Ronaldinho: Club dumps legend after 2 months

Former two-time Ballon D’Or winner, Ronaldinho, is set to return to Brazilian football with his new club, Fluminense following a spell in Mexico.

Ronaldinho, not 35 years old has had an illustrious career which has seen him win the world cup, UEFA champions league, La liga and Copa Libaterdores. Ronaldinho turned out for Paris Saint-Germian and Barcelona before returning to boyhood club, Gremio. After leaving Gremio, Ronaldinho played for Mexican side Querentaro for a year. Ronaldinho has returned to his home country joining Fluminense on a free transfer and might make his debut against his former team, Gremio.

Ronaldinho rejected a move to the United States of America in favor of a move back to Brazil. Various players from the Fluminense team have spoken about their excitement to be playing alongside Ronaldinho while Ronaldinho told reporters that he was desperate to win the Brazilian league, a title that has so far evaded him
