Olympique Marsielle have completed the signing of Abou Diaby after he was released by Arsenal.
Diaby and the Gunners parted way after an injury-filled spell that saw him spend more time in the physio’s room than on the field.
Iconic French manager Guy Roux, who worked with Diaby in Auxerre, believes Marsielle have made a coup with the signing.
“This could be the biggest coup for Marseille for a long time and it’s also a great gift to the French league,” he told L’Equipe.
“Diaby is a fabulous player, well-disciplined and pleasant by nature. He has the kind of talent which has been sadly lacking from French football in recent times.”
