Nigerian Army Appoints New Commander Of The Elite Guard’s Brigade

The Nigerian Army has announced the appointment of Brigadier General Musa Yusuf as the new commander of the elite Guard’s Brigade in Abuja.

The former Commander, General Anthony Omozoje who was redeployed to command the 14th Brigade in Ohafia, Abia State has handed over to the new Commander.

At the handing over ceremony, General Yusuf swore that he was committed to ensuring the safety of President Muhammadu Buhari and his family.

“Well for now we are prepared to face all the challenges, we know the major challenges in the country,” General Yusuf said.

He further said; “on the issues of insurgency in and around Abuja, there are arrangements in place to make sure the city is secured.”

Omozoje appreciated the brigade and further revealed that it was never a dull moment working with the brigade.
