Neymar is not aiming too high this season, but hopes he ends up in the final three of the Ballon D’or alongside Messi and Ronaldo, who have both become a permanent feature for the prestigious award.
The Brazilian is a strong contender for the award in 2016 after playing a major role in Barcelona’s treble triumph, he’s not aiming to win it though, but will love to share the podium with Messi and Ronaldo.
However, he has downplayed his chances of becoming the first man other than Messi or Ronaldo to lift the trophy since Kaka in 2007.
“Just being one of the three finalists would be a great achievement for me,” Neymar told TV Globo.
“It would be a dream to find myself up there next to Messi and Cristiano. It would be a great honour.”
