Having signed two midfielders in the space of 6 hours, Manchester United are looking to sort out their defensive problems with a bumper bid for Sergio Ramos.

Ramos has refused to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid and the 10 time European champions are considering selling the defender to avoid losing him for free and Manchester United who have been reported to be interested in the player are believed to have approached Real Madrid with a deal worth 45 million euros for the defender according to Metro.co.uk. If the deal goes through Manchester United would be making Ramos their fifth signing of another busy transfer window.

Real Madrid reportedly asked for double that fee if they are to let the defender join the old Trafford outfit.
