Manchester City Beat Sister Club Melbourne City 1-0

It was a drab encounter in Melbourne as two Etihad controlled football clubs, Manchester City and Melbourne City played out a very boring game before Sami Nasri broke the deadlock with what was the only goal of the game.

Yaya Toutre was one of the most outstanding players on the pitch as the Ivorian was impressive on the tackle and drove forward with real intent, coming close to scoring twice while new acquisition, Raheem Sterling watched the encounter from the stands. Nasri finally put the ball in the back of the net for the first time in the match when volleyed a wonderful shot past the Melbourne City goalkeeper to give Manchester City the lead their dominance deserved in the 86th minute.

Manchester City would continue their tour of the east as they prepare to face the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the battle for English supremacy in coming months.
