New Boy, Divok Origi was on target alongside Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic as Liverpool picked up a 4-0 win at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok in the first match of their pre-season tour of Asia.
Liverpool came flying out the traps as Markovic picked up Teixiera’s through ball, rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home from a tight angle in the 3rd minute to make it 1-0. Liverpool dominated the game but had to wait until the 42nd minute when Sakho rose highest to nod the ball home and make it 2-0. Rodgers substituted the entire starting XI for the second half and was quickly rewarded as Lallana, made it 3-0 with a tidy finish after receiving the ball from Jordan Henderson via a flick on.Liverpool had more chances to kill of the game but were not very convincing with their shooting. New boy Divok Origi however made no mistake in the 86nd minute with a well-placed header for his first Liverpool goal and the side’s fourth in the match.
Liverpool would continue their tour of Asia as they try to build club publicity in the region and amp up players’s fitness for the coming season.
