Leicester City Appoint Claudio Ranieri As New Manager

Leicester City have appointed former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri as the club’s new manager.

Ranieri replaces the sacked Nigel Pearson, and has signed a 3-year contract.

Ranieri has already joined the team on their pre-season tour in Russia, and said: “I’m so glad to be here in a club with such a great tradition as Leicester City.”

“I have worked at many great clubs, in many top leagues, but since I left Chelsea I have dreamt of another chance to work in the best league in the world again,” he added.

Ranieri managed Chelsea for 4 years between 2000 and 2004.
