Google Doodle Celebrates Special Olympics World Cup Games

The 47th Special Olympics World cup games starts today and search giants, Google, honors the event with a Doodle.

The games which will take place in Los Angeles, U.S.A ends 2nd of August 2015.


According to Google, the event will witness 7,000 world-class athletes from 177 countries, they will compete in 25 events in a celebration of athleticism, teamwork and inclusion.

“It is also a reminder of the universality of sport, an opportunity for athletes with disability to compete in one of humankind’s greatest traditions,” Google added.

This will also mark the biggest sports event to take place in Los Angeles since 1984.

Nigeria is among the countries participating in the event.
