Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has applied for the vacant Leicester City manager’s job.

Leicester City are searching for a  new manager after former boss Nigel Pearson was sacked amid controversial circumstances earlier this month.
Schmeichel  has not managed at any level before so it’s a bit of a strange move for the former goalkeeper whose son also plays for Leicester City

Martin O’Neill was believed to be
the club’s preferred candidate last week with some supporters keen to bring back the man who presided over the team’s most sustained periods of stability and success.
