Wales made one of the biggest jumps in the recently released FIFA men’s football ranking as they jumped 12 places to land in the top ten for the first time in the country’s history as they landed in 10th position.
Argentina also overtook Germany to become the highest ranked national team in the world despite losing the final of the Copa America While Brazil dropped from 5th to 6th in the world, exchanging places with Netherlands. England jumped six places to return to the top ten in 9th place while Romania also broke into the top ten at eight. Spain fell out of the top ten all together finding themselves 12th in the rankings while Chile jumped eight places thanks to their Copa America win to land in 11th place. Algeria returned to the top 20 placed 19th in the world and first in Africa while the Ivory Coast dropped four places to find themselves 21st and France are one place behind the West African side in 22nd. Nigeria dropped 14 places to find themselves at 57th in the World.
Belize made the best move of the ranking jumping 37 places to find themselves places at 118th while the central African Republic on the other hand dropped 29th places to land at 170th in the world.
