FA rejects Hull City’s Name Change

share on:

For the second time in two years, the English FA’s council has voted to refuse to change the name of Hull City football club from Hull City to Hull Tigers.

Hull City attempted to get the name changed last season but failed as they lost the vote. Owner, Assem Allam tried again this year after his club were relegated from the premiership but once again lost as 70 percent of the council members voted to keep the name as Hull City instead of changing it to Hull Tigers

One thing is certain: whether they are called Hull City or Hull Tigers, they would be slugging it out in the championship next season
