The Department of State Services, DSS, is not yet done with its crusade as it has arrested Gordon Obua, the Chief Security Officer to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

A security official said the employee of the State Security Service (SSS) was arrested on Thursday evening and detained at the DSS headquarters in Abuja.

The report of Obua’s arrest is coming on the heel of a controversial invasion of former NSA, Sambo Dasuki’s home.

According to The Punch, the arrest was part of the probe of corrupt officials under Jonathan’s administration as instructed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

However, some birds in the know have squealed that the reason for Gordon’s arrest is to extract salient information on key officials in Jonathan’s government from him.

“The arrest and detention of the former CSO is an indication that every former minister or senior official under Jonathan’s government are not exempted from probe except those that have no criminal suspicion or record of wrong doing in office,” a source stated.

Meanwhile, the Society for Global Justice has called on the SSS to release him with immediate effect.
