A Federal Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido.
Lamido and his two sons, who are facing money laundering charges from the EFCC, will be released from prison once the bail conditions are met.
Their bail application was originally scheduled to hold on the 28th of September, but following their transfer to Kuje prison in Abuja, another hearing was held.
Lamido was granted bail on self recognition and was required to release his international passport to the court.
Bail was set for Lamido, his two sons – Aminu and Mustapha -, and an alleged accomplice named Wada Abubakar, who was also arrested, at N25 million each, for a total of N100 million.
They were further asked to provide two sureties, one of who must be a civil servant not bellow grade level 16 and must have landed property valued at N75 million.
