Rudy Guelord Bhebey of AC Leopards of Congo is in the intensive care unit of the Air Force specialized hospital in Cairo with a head injury he sustained in a match against Zamalek in Egypt.
Bheybey who is the captain of the Leopards picked up the injury following a nasty fall in the 17th minute of his side’s clash with Zamalek in the Confederations cup and was immediately rushed to the hospital. The doctors say that he is doing better today than he was yesterday but still reported that it was too early to tell how good he was as they described the situation as very critical. Bhebey suffered serious trauma to the head and severe damage to his spinal column but underwent a successful surgery and is out of the claws of death for the meantime. According to reports, the player is conscious and can recognize people around him but is kept under very strict observation.
CAF, Zamalek and AC Leopards have all been supportive during this time as Zamalek players lead by their captain paid a visit to Bhebey in the hospital, Bhebey was part of the Leopards team that won the confederations cup in 2012
