Chelsea Spell Wasn’t A Disaster: Filipe Luis

share on:

Following his move back to the Vincente Calderon, Brazilian full back, Filipe Luis looked back on his time at Chelsea without much animosity as he referred to it as a “great season”

Luis played a bit-part role as Chelsea raced to the Premier League and League Cup titles and only made 26 appearances for Mourinho’s men in the entire season he spent at the club as he found himself on the bench more than he would have liked but the Brazilian who sealed a return to Atletico Madrid claimed he was happy to be back but he didn’t feel bad about his move to London “I’m very happy to be back here after a year,” he said to reporters. “It was a very nice experience at Chelsea and I won the Premier League.  Many people think it went badly, but for me it was the opposite. It was a great season, I learned a lot, I played games in a different league. Luis went on to call Atletico Madrid home

Luis also extoled the abilities of Both Jose Mourinho and Diego Simeone, describing both managers as “winners”
