Iker Casillas is set to depart Real Madrid for FC Porto after 25 years at the 10 time Champions league winners and he is set to take a massive pay cut in order to make the deal happen but according to the legendary Spanish captain’s agent, Santos Marquez, Casillas is happy with the terms of the negotiations.
The Real legend is set to move to the Estadio Do Dragao despite signing a contract extension with Real last season as Spanish counterpart, David De Gea is set to arrive from Manchester United in coming weeks and Casillas, still the competitive goalkeeper he is is not quite ready to sit on the bench. “There’s an agreement between Porto and Casillas,” Marquez told La Sexta. “He’s happy with the agreement that’s been reached.” Real Madrid are believed to be working out a deal which would see them augment Casillas’ salary until 2017 when his deal with the Spanish giants would have expired if the deal with Porto finally goes through.
Porto would be gaining a world class player with three UEFA champions league trophies one world cup trophy, two EURO nations’ cup trophies as well as a number of la liga titles to go with his 700 appearances for Real Madrid.
