Scenes have been revealed from the first episode of Caitlyn Jenner’s docu-series, I Am Cait.
In the episode, the patriarch of the Jenner clan revealed her long battle as she finally made her big decision, and how it affected family and friends.
The Olympic gold medalist revealed that she had almost committed suicide.
“I’ve been in some dark places, I have been in my house with a gun and said, ‘Let’s just end it right there, no more pain, no more suffering, that struggle, it’s real and I’ve been there.”
Caitlyn’s mother, Esther, also appeared on the show, speaking about how difficult it was to accept the decision.
As she clutched her hands together, she said: “It’s going to be so difficult for me to think of you as she, and say Caitlyn when I want to speak with you, or call your attention, ‘Hey Caitlyn’ instead of, ‘Hey Bruce.’
“You look so much like someone in my family and I was trying to figure it out, it’s not easy, it’s not easy.
“But your values are always going to be the same, Bruce will still be there, yo have the same soul, you have the same soul as you were born with.
“I love Bruce, it will never change. Its going to take some getting used to, I want to do what he wants.
“The problem before with you and I, I’m guessing this, is that you felt uncomfortable with me, we would see each other and it was like you wanted to get away.”
Caitlyn’s step-son-in-law, Kanye West, made a surprise appearance on the show, and spoke of respect for Caitlyn.
As he spoke to her, the rapper said: “It’s one of the strongest things that has happened.
“You couldn’t have been up against more, your daughters, you’re a celebrity and it was still like f*** everybody, this is who I am.”
Caitlyn responded saying: “Kanye and I have never really been that close but I love his open mind, and I love how he has helped Kim come to grips with this.”
