Josep Bartomeu has been re-elected as club president of Barcelona football club after the 52 yesr old won the club’s election earlier today.
Josep Bartomeu would now sit at FC Barcelona’s highest chair for the next six years. Bartomeu cleared 50.4 percent of the votes at the executive meeting of the club while Laporte came in second with 33 percent of the votes. Bartomeu’s ability to strike a deal with Qatar airways to get sponsorship revenue, his financial pledges to the club as well as his aiding the capture of Neymar and Suarez all came together to ensure that the former Barcelona shot stopper would remain president of the club
Barcelona would now be looking forward to January when the transfer ban would be lifted and a few players can be brought in again
