Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has confirmed he’s leaving the club for AS Roma.
Szczesny had been deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates following the signing of Petr Cech.
In a video posted on Instagram, Szczesny said he was “really happy” ahead of the move.
“Good evening Giallorossi, I’m really happy because tomorrow [Monday] I’m going to Rome. See you there,” he said.
Szczesny will reportedly be spending the season on loan at the Italian side, and will vie for the position between the sticks with current Roma number 1 Morgan De Sanctis.
