A New FIFA President Will Emerge In Feb. 2016

World football governing body, FIFA has announced that a new President will be elected at a special congress on Feb. 26, 2016 in Zurich.


The association said an “extraordinary elective congress” will decide on the successor to Blatter, who has been at the helm since 1998.

“Given that the extraordinary elective Congress will take place on 26 February 2016, the deadline for submission of candidates for the office of FIFA President must take place in writing, together with the declarations of support of at least five members by 26 October 2015 at the latest,” FIFA said in a statement.
