10 Dead As Twin Suicide Attacks Strike Highway In Borno

10 people have been confirmed dead after two suicide attacks by Boko Haram in Borno state.

The attacks occurred along the main road connecting Bama to Konduga, with 7 people killed in the first explosion and 3 people killed in the second.

Both attacks were confirmed by Borno state’s Police chief, Aderemi Opadokun.

The target of the suicide bombers were reportedly the crowded parts on the highways were fruit sellers and other traders were located.

Attacks by the insurgent group have been coming incessantly in recent weeks, with this explosion following the murder of 60 in Kubuwa the day before.

Opadokun also confirmed that victims who suffered injuries in the Kubuwa attack were being treated in a Maiduguri hospital.
