West Ham are set to battle Arsenal and West Brom for the signature of former Arsenal midfielder, Alex Song.
Alex Song spent the entire season on loan at West Ham and was one of the club’s most influential players. Upon returning to Barcelona, Song, obviously frustrated with life on the bench started to look for options for a permanent deal and West Ham are ready to move in. West Ham are reportedly set to pay Barcelona 8 million euros for the Cameroonian’s services and would pay the Barcelona man 70,000 pounds weekly if he decides to join the London club. Song still has other offers on the table but West Ham represent a club he already knows in a league he already knows in a city he already knows and can fit right in.
While no official bid has been made, you get the feeling that Alex Song would hold out for a deal with a club that would see him playing in Europe next season.
