Still Not Good Enough: Liverpool Reject Manchester City’s Second Bid For Sterling

Liverpool have rejected a second bid from Manchester City for winger Raheem Sterling.

Liverpool had last week rejected a bid around £30 million, and today rejected City’s improved offer of around £40 million.

A number of clubs round the world are said to be interested in the English starlet, including PSG and Chelsea.

Sterling, whose £100,000 per week contract expires in 2017, has rejected offers of a new contract from the Reds and wants to leave, and the club have placed a £50 million price tag on his head.

Sterling joined Liverpool from QPR in 2010, and scored 7 goals and 7 assists and they struggled to finish 5th in the English Premier League last season.
