It is rumoured, that’s all it is until an official confirmation can be made. Rumour has it that Juventus playmaker and set piece genius, Andrea Pirlo is set to join New York City FC.
The Italy international still has a year left on his contract and was set on leaving the Old Lady if Juventus had won the UCL, we all know how that worked out. Pirlo insisted though that he was still staying on.
Pirlo staying on with the Bianconeri was not set in stone though, his leaving the Turin side was intenfied when on Saturday, the 36-year-old attended a New York Yankees baseball game at Yankee Stadium – which is also home to NYCFC.
Pirlo will join former England international Frank Lampard and Spain’s all-time record goalscorer, David Villa, at a franchise that only entered the league this season.
