He doesn’t even ask for it, doesn’t know when he’s doing it either. A galaxy just got named after him and now it happens he inspires Mexican striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez.
The Mexico international was on loan at the Bernabeu last season, but spent most of his time making sure the bench was warm. He did a good job of that, but also delivered when on the field of play.
He has described his time at the Bernabeu as frustrating, but says he learnt a lot from his teammates especially Ronaldo.
“Cristiano is a great player,” he told Univision. “There are no words to describe him. He is a clear example that hard work pays off.
“The season at Real Madrid was one full of learning. It helped me find myself again as a player.
“I was on the bench a lot, which was frustrating because I was not important.”
