Nigeria’s number one citizen, Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Alhaji Ahmed Idris as the substantive Accountant General of the Federation effective from Thursday.
This disclosure was made known by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Barrister Danladi Kifasi, with effect from 25th June.
Idris would take over from Mohammed Dikwa, who has been acting from June 12 after the expiration of the tenure and retirement of Jonas Otunla from service.
The Director Communications of the HoS Haruna R Imrana said in a statement on Thursday.
Alhaji Ahmed Idris who hails from Kano State was born on the 25th November 1960 and was until this appointment the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
