South Korean forward, Kang Soo-Il was billed to make his debut for his country in the UAE this weekend but the South Korean authorities decided to run a random drug test which the player failed and was subsequently banned.

Soo-Il is going to miss Korea’s clash with Myanmar and also faces a K-league ban of 15 matches. Weirdly, the forward claims he did not ingest any performance enhancing drugs but that the banned substance was an ingredient in a mustache growing cream which he applied. The Korean Football Association however threw out his argument and banned him anyway.
