Bomb blast hits Yola Motor Park

Members of the ruthless Boko Haram terrorist network on Tuesday killed nearly 100 people in Monguno town, Borno State, Daily Trust reports.

Witnesses and security sources say it was market day in Monguno, where grains and animals are brought and sold attracting large patronage.

It’s believed that the terrorists used the opportunity to sneak into the town and wreaked havoc.

Those affected by this unfortunate incident include traders, customers, labourers and children.

The bomb used was said to have exploded at an area known as ‘Bakassi.’

Several other people, including women and children sustained injuries during the blast which also destroyed nearby houses and merchandise, witnesses said.

A security source in Maiduguri who confirmed the attack said investigation was ongoing.
