For not performing up to standard, the National Judicial Council (NJC), has summoned three State High Court judges to explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against them.

This summon is contained in a statement issued by Mr Soji Oye, NJC’s Acting Director of Information in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Mahmud Mohammed, delivered the decision during its 73rd Meeting, although the names and states of the three judges were not made known.

“The meeting also considered the report submitted by its committee on Performance Evaluation of Judicial Officers of Superior Courts of Record and decided to invite three High Court judges,’’ the statement read.
