Lagos Expecting 34 Ships Loaded With Petroleum Products, Food Items

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has delivered in a statement on Wednesday that thirty-four ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods will be arriving the Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos between June 24 and July 15.

The statement, which was contained in the Authority’s daily publication stated that the expected ships are laden with general cargo, steel products, bulk rice, buckwheat, diesel, fresh fish, ethanol, containers, crude palm oil, kerosene and used vehicles.

The document, which was made available to pressmen in Lagos stated that already, eight other ships had arrived at the ports waiting to discharge bulk rice, general cargo, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel and petrol.

However, it was learnt that 23 other ships at the ports discharged buckwheat, general cargo, steel products, bulk sugar, bulk soya and rice.
