Kwara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has on Wednesday imposed a one-year suspension on a former Secretary to the State Government, AbdulGaniyu Cook-Olododo, for alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension, which was announced in a statement issued in Ilorin, the capital city, by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Sulaiman Buhari, revealed that apart from Cook-Olododo, 17 other members received varying sanctions for the same offence.
Those suspended for six months are Mashood Dauda; Oba Sulaiman Asude; Lukman Adeloyin, Wahab Tobe, Sa’ad Yero, Iyanda Olori and Amuda Bembe.
Others include Amuda Musbau; Zafi Adanla; AbdulRaheem Adanla; Abdrahaman Sa’ad’, Saliman Rasak, Raimi Akanji; Baba Alata; Raufu Asude and Fatai Olodo.
However, Tunde Saad, was placed on one-year suspension.
It was learnt that all the suspended members are from Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state.
The suspension, followed the recommendations of an Investigative and Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Dare Garba, which probed the alleged anti-party allegations of the affected persons during the 2015 general election.
