Jurgen Kloop is set to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer and Liverpool fans would have been forgiven to have believed that they would be trading Rodgers up for Kloop. The Kop were disappointed however as Klopp stated that he would not be taking on any managerial roles in the coming season.

Klopp who was also linked with a move to Napoli told reporters following the DFB Pokal final that he would be taking a break from management, claiming that he was drained and wanted some rest. “I will take a break until further notice,” he said. “After seven intense and emotional years of “Real Love” [Dortmund’s slogan], I consider it sensible to process all these memories until I’m fresh and full of motivation to take on a new task, together with my team.”

Klopp who was linked to the Real Madrid job did not give an inclination about his next managerial sojourn and when it would start but we would miss the intense Dortmund trainer
