The Ivory Coast Football Federation has released the names of 59 managers interested in managing the country’s national team.

The IFF published all the names on its website, including names like Raymond Domenech and Giovanni Trapattoni.

Nigeria’s current coach Stephen Keshi is also named on the list.

“The name of the next coach of the Elephants will be known late June-early July,” said the IFF in a statement.

Keshi’s desire to manage another team doesn’t come as much of a surprise, after Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick revealed a clause in his contract.

According to the clause, Keshi is no longer in charge of picking game day line-ups for the Super Eagles, with the NFF technical committee now in charge of that.

UPDATE: The NFF has promised to look into the issue to confirm if Stephen Keshi really did apply to manage Ivory Coast.

“The NFF will open a full investigation to determine whether Mr Stephen Keshi actually applied for the vacant Ivory Coast job,” NFF spokesman Ademola Olajire told BBC Sport.

“There will be no hasty decision. We hope to get a full part from the Ivory Coast football federation before making an official statement.”
