Biggest box office movies of 2015

In what is somewhat bit surprising, Jurassic World set a record for the second-biggest US debut and the biggest worldwide debut ever.

The movie grossed $204.596 million in its opening weekend to rank second all-time debut in the United States, behind Marvel’s The Avengers, which grossed $207m.

Its worldwide total of $511.8 million easily beat the $494m total of former record holder Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows II to set the new record.

Jurassic World was executively produced by Steven Spielberg, and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, BD Wong, Irrfan Khan, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
