The left back was trained at La Masia but shopped his talents elsewhere before returning to Camp Nou in 2012 and has since been a crucial part of the club.
The 26-year-old who was instrumental to their 2014-15 success wants to stay at the club for the remainder of his career.
“I want to play for Barcelona for many, many years,” the Spain international told reporters.
“When I was young, I had to leave, but I finally came back to where I wanted to be.
“I have learned a lot in these three years and we have won several titles.
“You never know what the future has in store, but if possible I’d like to hang up my boots at Barcelona.”
The left-back has a contract with Barca until June 2020.
