Everton Complete Deulofeu Signing

share on:

Everton have sealed a deal to return Gerard Deulofeu to Goodison park and this time on a permanent basis as Barcelona agreed to let the 21 year old go for 4.3 million euros.

Deulofeu spent the 2013/2014 season on loan at Everton from Barcelona and was impressive for the toffees. Everton attempted to sign him but Barcelona held on to their protégé and sent him off to loan in Sevilla where he spent most of last season on the bench before returning to the Catalan club and looking to move away permanently. Everton are still looking to restructure their side after a poor campaign last season and Deulofeu would bring in a little spirit into the side. Barcelona are believed to have accepted the 4.3 million Euros but still hold a buy back option for the next three years and would look to exercise it if the player should develop well at Goodison park.

Everton are currently looking to rebuild their side and this is definitely a step in the right direction
