Both Manchester Clubs Set To Do Battle For Nigerian u-17 Starlet

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly interested in Nigerian under-17 whizkid. Awoniyi was impressive for Nigeria in the recent under-20 world cup too prompting the premier league giants to begin plans to acquire the youngster.

Awoniyi, who was Nigeria’s hero at the Under-20 world cup game against Hungaryearlier in the month when he scored a brace currently plays for the Imperial academy and can be snapped up by any European tem even though Kalmar FF have a partnership with the academy. Manchester United, Manchester City, Porto and Monaco are all reported to be very keen on the forward but the Manchester clubs have reportedly advanced their cause beyond other clubs.

While no official statement has been made by any of the parties involved in the possible transfer, we all know Awoniyi would not be at the Imperial academy much longer. The 17 year old could becom Iheanacho’s teammate or bitter rival in coming weeks.
