You know how all these legends always want to stay relevant and make their voice heard? You see it every time. Bayern Munich legend, Franz Beckenbauer has offered Bayern midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger a word of advice.
He advised the German midfielder to not join United. The talented midfielder still has a year left on his contract with the Bavarians, but has been heavily linked with a move to the Old Trafford.
Earlier this week, another legend, Lothar Matthaus urged the 30-year-old to join the Red Devils.
Beckenbauer doesn’t share this school of thought though and feels the injury prone midfielder will not be able to cope with the rigors of the premier league. Probably picking up injuries like a celebrity who shops on weekends.
“Adapting to a different European league is difficult at his age,” the 1974 World Cup winner told Bild.
“He has played with great force and put a lot of pressure on his body for many years. That saps energy. He could end his career in the USA instead.
“If I was at Schweini’s place, I would stay one or two years more at Bayern. Until then, he can still perform at the highest level.”
