After long, drawn-out negotiations, Barcelona and Dani Alves have finally agreed a new contract.
The Brazilian’s contract was due to end on the 30th of June, and was rumored to be headed for Manchester United on a free transfer.
The attacking right-back will remain with the club however after a new deal was announced today.
The club announced the new deal on their website, saying:
FC Barcelona has announced that Dani Alves has accepted its proposal for the renewal of his contract, which expires on June 30 of this year. The new agreement binding both parties will be for a further two seasons, through to 30 June 2017, with the option of a third additional season.
