The AFCON 2017 qualifiers is getting off to a full swing and Nigeria faced Chad yesterday at the uneven pitch in Kaduna. The first time both sides will be meeting, even though they are next door neighbors.
The first half was nothing to write home about, with the Super Eagles playing lacklustre and disgusting football. They were so disorganized, God it was crappy. The defence was a mess, with Oboabona on the bench and Troost-ekong starting instead, his inexperience was on display.
The man between the sticks, Enyeama pulling off brilliant saves from the equally inexperienced Chadians.
The second half was different, still not beautiful football you should attribute to Super Eagles. Odion Ighalo, that plays professionally for Watford was brought on and he assisted a Gbolahan Salami goal in the 69th minute, sending a bullet of a shot into the roof of the net.
The second goal came from the spot after Ighalo was brought down in the 80th minute, and because he must show he is a tout, Onazi shoved a Chad player and got a straight red for his unruly behavior. The melee did not deter Ighalo from doubling the lead for the Eagles.
