Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal have begun the process to extend former Southampton man, Theo Walcott’s stay at the emirates as both side begin talks.
Arsenalwere believed to be willing to let Walcott go after the England international spent most of the season on the sidelines and struggled for form when fit. Wenger however told reporters that Arsenal were still willing to keep Walcott. This on the back of an incredible display of goal scoring skills as Walcott bagged a hat trick in Arsenal’s final league game of the season. “The result does not change anything. With a hat-trick or without hat-trick we want him to stay,” Wenger told reporters. “We are in negotiations, we started to speak to his agent before he scored his hat-trick.”
Well Liverpool can forget about Walcott for the mean time as Wenger wove off any questions about bringing in Raheem Sterling.
