Amanda Seyfried commonly referred to as the modern day Michelle Pfeiffer for her classic beauty is the cover girl for Vogue US’ June 2015 Edition. In this edition she also discusses her anxiety problem, how instagram brought her true love, her dog, her career and more.
The editorial photgraphed by Mario Testino at a villa in Rome tends towards Vintage Hollywood. It sees the ‘Dear John’ starlet in classic designs by luxury brands Fendi, Roland Mouret, Ninna Ricci, Oscar de la Renta,& a few others.
On her anxiety: A few years ago, she famously downed a couple of shots of Jameson to calm her nerves before going on Letterman and appeared drunk on TV. “It made it fun for me,” she says, “but then I watched it and was like ‘That is not what I want to promote about myself.’ ” Soon after, she started seeing a shrink to help get over her debilitating fear. “I have a lot of anxiety that I’ve been struggling with my whole life,” she says. “So I have been working through it. I’m terrified, but this is exactly what I wanted.”
On her boyfriend, Justin Long she says: “I followed him on Instagram,” she says, “and I thought something he said was really funny. It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, “Fucking MOOOOOOOOVE.” It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him.” She also says, “I really do have my own identity, both inside and outside the relationship, if that makes any sense. It just feels right. It’s also really good to feel OK being alone.”
