Concentrate On Your State – Buhari Shocks APC Govs, Rejects Ministerial List
General Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s President-elect has reportedly rejected plans by the governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to compile the ministerial list for the next administration.
The APC governors, led by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, had, last Tuesday, visited Buhari in Abuja to pledge loyalty and make some demands, Tribune reports.
In a bid to maintain the tradition already instituted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where the state governors are requested to submit list of possible ministers and Ambassadorial appointees to the president, the governors threw the same request at Buhari and he was said to have out-rightly rejected it, declaring that the Constitution does not mandate him to take a list of ministerial nominees from them.
Moyes: I’m Not Coming Back To The EPL
Former Manchester United manager, David Moyes has been linked with a sensational return to the premiership with Newcastle. Following his sides 2-0 loss to Barcelona however, David Moyes reiterated is commitment to Real Sociedad and stated that he would not be moving to the premier league just yet.
David Moyes endured a terrible spell at Manchester United on the back of a successful eleven year spell in charge of Everton and was relieved of his managerial duties after just nine months. With his confidence short and his reputation tainted, Moyes moved to Sociedad where despite winning just one in his last eight games, Moyes has giving fans of the Spanish club hope after they lost their star man, Griezmann in the summer. Newcastle were be lieved to be on the brink of bringing Moyes back to the premier league but Moyes told reporters he had no intention of returning to England and went on to further speak about plans to bring in a few players to help Sociedad challenge for a place in Europe next season.
Newcastle might have to look elsewhere for a manager as Moyes may have found a home again in Spain.
Mutiny: 12 Soldiers Sentenced To Death Cry Out ‘They Want To Kill Us With Starvation’
The gallant troops of the Nigerian Army that were arrested last year on charges of mutiny and attempted murder have reportedly disclosed to media through text messages the harsh conditions under which they are being held.
Here is an excerpt of the text message sent to reporters.
“Greetings sir, we are the 12 soldiers sentenced to death \others detained at CIC Apapa, Lagos. We are to inform you that following our denial of access to our families, councils & even access to fund [sic] to feed our families\pay our legal fees, that as you know, we had been concealing our cell phone to help us hear from counsels.
“The phone was collected on 6\5\15, in view of this, we have not been fed, We are on hand-cuff & leg chain, we are kept naked [sic] & deprived of even drinking water. As it stands now sir, our lives are at stake. We, therefore, plead with due respect that you intervene”.

Manchester United shot stopper, David De Gea should have won the PFA Young Player of the Year, Thierry Henry insists.
Speaking on Saturday Night Football, Sky Sports pundit Henry claims De Gea, not Tottenham striker Harry Kane, should have been given the nod for the honour.
“He was my young player of the year,” he said.
“Look at what he’s been doing for Manchester United this season.
“He has won so many points for the team and for that particular reason he was my young player of the year,” he added.
“As a goalkeeper it’s difficult to win points but he did.
