Reports emanating from Germany are suggesting that Bayern Munich manager, Josep Guardiola has agreed a deal which would see him replace Manuel Pellegrini as manager of Manchester City in the summer.
Manuel Pellegrini is definitely not going to remain manager of Manchester City following a very poor season and Manchester City were touting Guardiola and Diego Simeone as his probable succesors, but with SImeone extending his contract with Atletico Madrid and Guardiola refusing to put pen to paper on an new deal with Bayern, Manchester City have moved fast and would look to bring in the former Barcelona man in the summer. Guardiola has four league titles as well as five league titles across Spain and Germany as well as two UEFA champions league trophies to go with domestic cup wins as well as the UEFA super cup trophies and two Club World Cup triumphs. Easily one of the most decorated managers of this generation or any other, Guardiola had earlier stated his desire to try his hand out in the premiership. The prospect of rekindling his rivalry with Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho might also prove to be too tempting for the former Spanish International to pass up.
Bayern are already looking at possible replacements even though Guardiola’s camp is yet to speak out about a possible transfer. Manchester City would however buy out whatever is left of Guardiola’s contract with Bayern Munich.
