Neymar Admits Barcelona Dependence On Messi

Not only did Barcelona win the Copa del Rey, their attacking trio set a record for most goals scored in the La Liga.

The previous record of 118 goals was held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema for Real Madrid in 2011-12. Messi equalled that record when he opened the scoring after 20 minutes in the Copa del Rey final.

Neymar doubled the lead for the Catalans and overtook the record sixteen minutes after Messi’s goal.

Messi scored his 57th goal of the season and MSN’s 120th goal of the season.

Barcelona are on track to secure a treble this season and mirror their 2009 accomplishment when they take on Juventus in the UCL final.
