Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola is currently under pressure, after losing all the matches his side have contested since winning the Bundesliga title, going behind 3-0 in the UEFA champions league semifinal to Barcelona just a week after being knocked out of the German Cup by rivals, Borussia Dortmund. Recent news however reported that the former Barcelona manager was in line to replace Manuel Pellegrini as Manchester City manager with a possibility of renewing his rivalry with Jose Mourinho.
Guardiola has however come out to squash any rumors linking him to Manchester City as he told reporters ahead of his side’s UEFA champions league semifinal second leg clash at the Allianz arena that he would remain with Bayern next season and see out his contract with the club. “I’ve said it 200 million times: I have one year left on my contract. I’ll stay here next season. That is all,” Guardiola told reporters today. Guardiola was however careful not to commit himself beyond the end of next season.
If Barcelona must qualify for the final of the UEFA champions league this season, they have to score four un-replied goals against Barcelona tomorrow.
