Jose Mourinho may have won the Barclays premier league trophy as well as the manager of the year trophy but he might be on the verge of losing a club legend and an important player as he admitted that Petr Cech might decide to leave
Speaking to reporters after his side were finally handed the 2014/2015 Barclays premier league trophy, Mourinho who was clearly elated called it vindication of his good work. When asked about Petr Cech’s future at the club, Mourinho said“He’s a legend of this club but he’s a legend at 32 years old, which is a very young legend for a goalkeeper. One of our strengths this season was to have the two best goalkeepers in the Premier League. The reality is that Petr played lots of matches in every competition so we made him feel important. I can cope with it, for me it’s no problem to have both but obviously I don’t know what Petr is thinking.” The Portuguese clearly admits that the 32 year old may leave the club but he is hoping he stays.
Cech is on Arsenal’s radar and Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in the Czech international.
